the demoscene is a virtual society consisting of different groups of mostly teenage boys. they
compete with other groups in combining skills of programming, illustrating, designing and musiccomposing.
the results are programs that demonstrates what the computer is capable of, hence the word demo. at certain computerparties,
such as lcp, the computerboys meet, compete and mess around.
the demoscene exists on many different machines, from gameboy to playstation and from vic-20 to pc.
pc-sceners are often dissed by the oldschool-folks, since their demomaking isn't within the old rules of
